Marlou Fernanda, Waar Ga Ik Heen plot
Marlou Fernanda is on the verge of a breakthrough. For years, the Rotterdam-based artist has been making waves with her visual work, which is both abstract and figurative, and in which the bright colors she uses create a stark contrast with themes of loneliness, racial inequality, and existential questions. Documentary filmmaker Denise Janzée follows Fernanda at work in her Rotterdam studio and on assignment in New York, but also at home, where she is candid about the void left by the separation from her Brazilian father and Curaçaoan mother.
