Marcello Mastroianni - L'Italien Idéal plot

Actor Marcello Mastroianni had his big break with the role of a charmer, the casual and elusive journalist Marcello Rubini in Fellini's 'La Dolce Vita'. The character of this character determined the image of the Latin lover that Mastroianni would henceforth adhere to, a straitjacket from which he tried to break free by choosing the right roles of pranksters, losers and cheated husbands.
