Malle Appie plot
The Dutch artist Albert Mol (1917) made a name for himself as a dancer, choreographer, comedian, actor and writer, but is mainly etched in the national memory thanks to his appearance in the television game Wie van de drie in the 1970s through his open declaration of his homosexuality. . For thirty-three years Mol has lived with life partner Guerdon Bill, who faithfully and lovingly cares for the now elderly and sick Mol in their remote farm in the east of the country. Director Karin Junger tries to lure Mol out of the tent in all sorts of ways, but Mol remains a theater animal at heart. "You're gloomy, aren't you?" the filmmaker informs. Mol immediately replies that he is calm, quiet, and "does not regret anything". Malle Appie still conducts his own show from his sickbed.
