Magia Russica plot
In 1935, three Walt Disney cartoons are shown separately in Moscow. A young man, then still a student of Fine Arts, is present in the room. He is completely blown away at the sight of those magical animated images. At that moment he does not know yet that he himself will become one of the greatest Russian animators. We follow the life story of Fedor Kitruk and discover an animation art that has managed to escape the clutches of the Iron Curtain. Unlike other art forms, animated films were (and are) often seen as material intended for children. Paradoxically, this allowed them to slip through the censorship net more easily.
