Luc Tuymans - In het Licht van de Argwaan plot

The work of the Flemish artist Luc Tuymans (1958) is often based on photographs. His oeuvre explores our relationship to history and also our apparent ability to ignore that history. Director John Albert Jansen follows Tuymans in setting up an exhibition in Venice and interviews him in his studio in Antwerp. Gradually it appears that the loaded and hidden family history of the artist plays a role in his enigmatic work.
