The late 1950s, just after Indian independence, was an adventurous period of experimentation in India. India propelled itself at the speed of the nations. At the age of thirty, Canadian architect Luc Durand took a plane to Delhi, where he was allowed to work on revolutionary social housing and an impressive pavilion for the Indian Agricultural & Industrial Fair.
