Love Is Not an Orange plot

In the early 1990s, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Moldova faced a serious economic crisis that forced thousands of women to look for work abroad. As they were away from home for long periods of time, these mothers found a way to keep in touch with their children by sending large cardboard boxes filled with gifts. This gesture became a ritual in many families. By replacing their presence with material goods, these women tried to maintain the fragile bond with their loved ones.
