Ljusår plot

Nature documentary maker Mikael Kristersson filmed the four seasons in his lush garden with chicken coop, greenhouse, vegetable garden, hawthorn and a gnarled old apple tree. The buzzing of the insects and the chirping of the birds are all that can be heard in this uncommented, calm observation of daily life in his garden in Falsterbo, an old town in southern Sweden. Kristersson made these super16 recordings for twenty years and edited them in their natural rhythm. We see the world from the perspective of a spider that makes its web, great tits that take flight for the first time, a butterfly that lays its eggs under a leaf, a wasp, hanging by only one leg, eating a caterpillar, and the cat who watches all this from a distance...
