Living for the Weekend plot
Living for the Weekend reflects the harsh reality behind one of the toughest sports in the world. Never before had a film about motocross appeared until Jean-Paul Maas and Nick Janssen joined forces to just do it: a year behind the scenes at the Grand Prix, in which Dutch pride Glenn Coldenhoff and Jeffrey Herlings and Belgian MX1 heroes Joël Roelants, Clement Desalle, Ken de Dijcker, Jeremy van Horebeek and Kevin Strijbos are followed in their battle for the world title. Living for the Weekend also films the father-son relationship of 12-year-old motocross rider Roan van de Moosdijk and the gripping story of motocross legend Henk van Mierlo, who always remains positive despite his painful fate.
