Little Heaven plot

"The wonderful story of a special orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia"

The children of the Ethiopian orphanage Little Heaven are told that they have HIV when they are thirteen. However, that does not mean that they will give up. At times it looks like an ordinary school class: when they romp in the courtyard of the orphanage or have fun on their bunk beds. But the children are by no means carefree. Lydia's story is central to this documentary. The maker follows her in the run-up to an important school exam. Will Lydia's grades be high enough to gain entry to a better school? She shares her daily worries with us through diary fragments.
