Lift like a Girl plot

Zebiba, 14, joined former Olympic competitor Captain Ramadan's weightlifting training camp at the age of 9. The camp is really little more than a vacant lot with a fence around it on a busy street corner in Alexandria, but Ramadan has trained many champions there. Filmmaker Mayye Zayed follows Zebiba's first four years in the weightlifting competition. She films the girl growing up, learning to accept loss and use pain to grow, both as an athlete and as a young woman.
