Leve het Bruine Monster plot
Long live the brown monster is an ode to football in the days when it had not yet fallen prey to commerce and football hooliganism. Using only historical film material, the film tells about the supporters who, wearing fedora hats and large cigars, come to the Olympic Stadium to see the performances of heroes such as Faas Wilkens and Abe Lenstra. And the film shows the efforts of the youth who use the almost car-free streets to learn the special tricks of the heroes. Also in this time the eternal battle between the Dutch national team and the German Mannschaft played an important role.
