Letter to San Zaw Htway plot
Artist and political activist San Zaw Htway experienced military repression in Myanmar years ago. In 1999 he was sentenced to 36 years in prison for involvement in the re-establishment of the banned student union. More than twelve years later, under a more lenient regime, he is released. In 2021, after a coup, an aggressive military regime came to power again, which brutally crushed mass protests. Friends, relatives and other ex-political prisoners write letters to San, who, despite everything, remained lively during his captivity. In him they find comfort, understanding and good advice.
