Let It Come Down: The Life of Paul Bowles plot

An attempt to describe and fathom the life of the mysterious expat and writer Paul Bowles. Bowles was also a composer and translator. He grew up in America, but left for Morocco in 1947, where he wrote the successful novel 'The Sheltering Sky'. Using old home videos and interviews with, among others, William S. Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg and his wife Jane who accompanied him for fifty years in Morocco. Shown is a man who is close to death, but who has found peace with himself and his past. He talks about his philosophy of writing (or rather, the lack of it), his life with Jane, his homosexuality and his complex relationship with his 'adoptive country' Morocco.
