Les Variacions Gould plot

This documentary follows Canadian pianist Glenn Gould, who became known for his virtuoso playing and tours all over the world, including during the Cold War. His first recording was one of his most famous, and the first of many highly technical renditions of Bach: the Goldberg Variations. He was not uncontroversial, due to a stubborn character and many style changes, partly inspired by his appreciation for modern (classical) music. Gould died suddenly in 1982 of a stroke at the age of fifty.
