Les Hommes de Piaf plot
From 1936 until her death in 1963, Edith Piaf wrote 850 letters to Jacques Bourgeat, a confidant. In those unpublished letters, the French singer tells about her love life and lets them look into her soul. Piaf had a large number of life partners, from Raymond Asso over Yves Montand, Marcel Cerdan, André Pousse, Eddie Constantine and Georges Moustaki to Paul Meurisse. Xavier Villetard follows the trail of Piaf's loves on the basis of passages from the letters, image fragments and testimonies of, among others, Charles Aznavour, Paulette Coquatrix (former director of the Paris Olympia), André Pousse and Georges Moustaki.
