Lekcja Bialoruskiego plot
Franek Viacorka introduces herself in voice-over, accompanied by black and white images. Born in Belarus in 1988, the Soviet Union collapsed three years later, and Alexander Lukashenko, an anti-nationalist, dictatorial leader, has reigned since 1994. Franek's father founds a nationalist high school, which is forcibly closed in 2001, after which the founder disappears into prison. Then the image changes color and it is 2006. Franek is now a political activist, just like his classmates from the now underground lyceum. They make film recordings of all their acts of resistance, which are edited together in this documentary.
