Leegstaand Monument plot

The former Jewish Work Village in Wieringermeer has been empty for years. In the 1930s, Jews who had fled the advancing Nazism in Germany were housed in the monumental building. After the German invasion, most residents ended up in concentration camps. In this documentary, Frans Bromet examines the tensions that have arisen now that an entrepreneur wants to use the complex to accommodate Eastern European flex workers.
