Lee Fields: Faithful Man plot
Lee Fields is a funk and soul legend who has been active in the music industry for 50 years. In this documentary, his search for a place in the history of soul music takes the viewer from vinyl to virtual - and back again. When Lee heard soul music on his transistor radio in the late 1950s and early 1960s, he was immediately hooked. In the 1970s he made a living touring with some of the biggest names in blues and soul history on the legendary Chitlin' Circuit. That's how he got a job with Kool and the Gang before they became famous. But in the late 1970s, disco began to dominate and Lee's soul career went downhill.
