Le Testament Amoureux de Nel plot

The film starts in 1960. Nel Wouters is then 74. She writes letters in which she testifies about the love of her life: her husband, the painter Rik Wouters, who died in 1916 of cancer and the traumatic consequences of the First World War. He was then 34 years old and had just reached his full maturity as a painter and sculptor. Nel was his wife and his only model. She herself died only 55 years later, in 1971. Rik Wouters mainly made many drawings, paintings and sculptures that he made with the young Nel as his muse. A fruitful collaboration that was abruptly cut short by the war and death.
