Le Sommeil d'Or plot
Between 1960 and 1975, the Cambodian film industry grew enormously with 400 films produced. However, when the Khmer Rouge came to power, most of the filmmakers were banned and their films burned - only about thirty of them survived. This documentary goes back to the dawn of Cambodian film history and brings it back to life. In addition, young Cambodian film makers are given the opportunity to recreate those former golden moments. And that goes further than 'just' restoring film history...
