Alan Ladd Jr. - known to friends and colleagues as Laddie - is the understated studio chief and Oscar-winning producer behind films like 'Star Wars', 'Blade Runner' and 'Braveheart'. Throughout his career, he has won more than 50 Oscars, worked with world-renowned filmmakers and actors, and brought influential films to life. In this documentary, his daughter, filmmaker Amanda Ladd-Jones, tries to better understand her father. So that she sees him not only as "Dad", the man who spent most of her childhood in the office, but also as his employees see him - a pioneer of modern American cinema.
