In a series of long shots, without cutting or commentary, twelve French "captains of industry" (L'Oréal, IBM, Darty, Waterman, Elf Aquitaine, Club Méditerranée, Saint Gobain...) talk about power, hierarchy, strikes and self-management. They talk about their relationship with the workers and the unions. They define their relationship to the state and they justify their own economic power.
