La Promesse de Franco plot

Belchite, a town in the province of Aragón, is a symbol of the collective forgetfulness that engulfed Spain after the civil war (1936-1939). The village literally became the center of the battle and was badly damaged. Victor Francisco Franco had a new Belchite built next to the remains. Its inhabitants pay little attention to the remaining ruins of the old village. But can you turn your back on the past so easily? Marc Weymuller records the memories of different generations of villagers.
