La Mort en Face plot

In Iasi, Romania, more than 15,000 Jews were killed between June 28 and July 6, 1941, even before the Final Solution had really got under way. The orders came from the Romanian government and were carried out with enthusiasm by the police, the army and the population. For more than 60 years, the communist regimes have tried to hide every trace painstakingly. Witnesses, then between 7 and 12 years old, tell what they still know about this horrific period.
