La Esterella, een Diva plot

Portrait of the Flemish diva La Esterella. Decades ago, La Esterella was well on its way to becoming an international celebrity. She sang in theaters in world cities such as London, Bratislava, Oslo, Prague and Paris. Contracts for Australia and America were waiting. With songs such as 'Sunshine for Everyone' she was also a pioneer of Dutch-language song in Flanders; often a world of 'red roses' and 'kiss for you'. La Esterella turned 90 on May 7, 2009, but she still sang. Skilled, lived through and with style. She still listened to that one motto: 'ever shining'.
