La Donna nella Resistenza plot

Documentary about the role of women in the Italian resistance, commissioned by the RAI on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the liberation. There were 70,000 members of the female defense groups, 2,000 of whom were in support functions. 35,000 took part in the partisan war and 4,563 of them were arrested, tortured and convicted by fascist tribunals. 2,750 were deported to Germany in Nazi concentration camps. 1,700 women were injured and 623 were shot or died in their action. Only a few of them received a medal.
