La Chine Est Encore Loin plot

On November 1, 1954, near Ghassira, a small village in the Aures, a pair of French teachers and an Algerian are the first victims of a civil war that would last seven years and lead to the independence of Algeria. More than fifty years later, Malek Bensmaïl returns to this village, which became the "cradle of the Algerian revolution", to illuminate the current daily life of the inhabitants.
