L'Île Déserte plot

Documentary about the hopeless life of a young Brussels resident who, despite his good intentions, has become the victim of his underprivileged environment. 17-year-old Mamebou lives in the last house of a dead end street. The director met him when he was 14. He then seemed an intelligent and promising boy, but he grew up in a disadvantaged environment and failed to develop in a normal way. He first came into contact with the law when he was twelve. Since then, Mamebou has struggled with his drug addiction, lack of self-confidence and ongoing financial problems that prevent him from getting his life on the right track.
