L'Île aux Cannibales plot

This documentary highlights a disturbing chapter in Russian history. In 1933, Joseph Stalin orders 6,000 unwanted citizens of Moscow and Leningrad to be sent to Siberia. They are taken to Nazino, an uninhabited island in the middle of the Siberian Ob River. They have to survive here without any food or clothing to speak of, while being watched from the banks of the river. This will result in horrific acts of desperation. Decades later, this horrific event is remembered and tributes are paid to those who lost their lives.
