L'Homme Qui Voulait Classer le Monde plot

Film by Françoise Levie about the Belgian Paul Otlet (1868-1944), a pioneer of information management: the documentation of human knowledge. Otlet has devoted his entire life to the theoretical, organizational and technical aspects of an important social problem: how do you make data and knowledge accessible to everyone? Is there a universal system of classification? Just arranging all existing books in all languages on tokens of 12 out of 7 would be an impossible task. How many chips would the codification of all thoughts and ideas of every human being yield?
