Kroniek van een Moderne Koning plot

How the Ghanaian Ashanti community in the Netherlands seeks a balance between old traditions and the modern Western world and how the two leaders try to strengthen their position in their own way. Nana Nyanin has been appointed king in Amsterdam by the Ashantis, an almost divine status. Nyanin has let go of the strong belief in the spirit world and associated rituals. Nana Ama Serwaah has been appointed Queen of the Netherlands by the High King in Ghana. She doesn't speak Dutch or English, but she firmly believes in the spiritual Ashanti myths. For the traditionalist Ghanaians here, she is the rightful leader.
