Kleiburg - de Laatste Bijlmerflat plot
A city built for the future. Those grand words accompanied the presentation of De Bijlmer at the end of the 1960s - a neighborhood built from apartment buildings that was intended to reduce the housing shortage in Amsterdam. One of the showpieces was Kleiburg, four hundred meters long and eleven stories high. Former residents, architects and other enthusiasts of the flat tell stories about the rise and fall of the controversial district. In addition to interviews, this film document presents many archival images and recordings of the doomed concrete colossus.
