Kindsoldaat van Hitler plot

As an NSB child, director Herbert Curiël was heavily bullied by classmates; he then decided "to uphold the honor of the fatherland and to fight for Mussert". He tried to enlist in the SS as a 15-year-old, was immediately rejected there and then enlisted in the Kriegsmarine, a fact that haunted him all his life. His father had already become a member of the NSB in 1933, but was also of Jewish ancestors, a fact that Curiël only discovered at a later age.
