In South Korea, near the border with North Korea, is an artist's village with experimental eco-houses that stand alone among the greenery and form a striking contrast to the nearby barbed wire that separates the countries. It is also the home of the world-renowned director Ki-duk Kim, who, however, is much less appreciated in his homeland and can never talk extensively about his work. Director Antoine Coppola spent a lot of time with him and here Ki-duk has Kim speak about his vision of film, his way of directing and his attitude towards his status as an independent director.
