Kazungu, le Métis plot

Georges Kamanayo was born in Rwanda in 1947, as the 'forbidden fruit' of the relationship between a black Rwandan woman and a white Belgian settler. His father was a wealthy industrialist, the owner of tin mines. He was married and had a son. His mother was a poor woman who had no place to go with her mixed-blood child. He was not accepted in the black community and he certainly could not go to the father in his big house. Little Kazungu ('the white one', as his nickname was) went to a Catholic boarding school in the neighboring country of the Belgian Congo and was brought to Belgium when he was 14 to start a new life with foreign people with a French first name, Georges. . In this film, the boy from then, now a cameraman and filmmaker, follows the trail back to his native country.
