Karsh Is History plot

The monumental portraits of photographer Yousuf Karsh are more famous than the photographer himself. They elevate scientists, artists, movie stars and politicians of the 20th century including Churchill, John F. Kennedy, Grace Kelly and Einstein to mythical proportions. This documentary puts the photographer and his famous work in the spotlight and paints a picture of more than half a century of Western history through his photos. His portrait of Martin Luther King recently served as a model for Barack Obama's election poster.
