Kafka au Congo des Belges plot
A journey through the meanders of the judiciary and the backrooms of politics in Congo. We follow Gorette Mawazu, who has been embroiled in a discouraging trial for 15 years. Politicians who scatter money to win votes are also followed. Gorette's land has been stolen. Too poor to hire a lawyer, she acts as a litigator for her own case. She has been sent from pillar to post for fifteen years and is in danger of losing the case. Bahati Lukwebo, a minister in charge of the finances of the National Congolese Assembly, is trying to maintain his sought-after position as his fellow politicians take to the streets to bribe people and pay their supporters.
