Jerry Lewis: The Man behind the Clown plot
Jerry Lewis, real name Joseph Levitch (Newark, New Jersey - March 16, 1926) is an American film comedian, director and producer of Jewish descent, known for his slapstick humor. He formed a popular comedy duo with Dean Martin between 1946 and 1956. He has many famous film titles to his credit, including The Nutty Professor (1963). This portrait focuses, among other things, on the fact that the comedian ultimately had a warmer welcome in France than in his home country.
