Jednotka Intenzivního Zivota plot

Doctors Ondrej and Katerina take care of their patients as best they can, but they can't prevent their deaths. Nevertheless, the inevitability of the end is not the hardest thing they have to deal with as the head of palliative care at the General University Hospital of Prague. There is a pilot project at a time when there are countless possibilities to extend human life; death is a social taboo and everyone has to face their own mortality.
