Jan Wolkers, Beeldend Kunstenaar, Schrijver plot

Documentary about the versatile artist Jan Wolkers (1925-2006). This writer and visual artist owes his fame to his work, but also to the fact that he was so mediagenic. Because of his flux de bouche, Wolkers was a welcome guest on talk shows, who went on long with visible pleasure and left little room for his interlocutors. Mat van Hensbergen wondered whether this behavior was just an attitude, or whether Wolkers was really like that. He therefore followed Wolkers for a week in his home and studio on Texel. This film tries to highlight the other, more quiet side of Wolkers and explores his passions for writing, his family, nature and cooking.
