Jalan Raya Pos plot

A film about the Dutch colonial past and the Groote Postweg, which runs over a distance of 1000 kilometers from the east coast to the west coast of Java (Indonesia). The filmmaker is guided by the stories and testimonies of the most famous Indonesian writer Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Pramoedya is forbidden to leave his house. At home he tells about his experiences with the colonial and current authorities, while the "road movie" moves along the Postweg, guided by his eyes and ears.
