Israel: A Home Movie plot

A patchwork of amateur films that depicts the history of Israel from the 1920s to the 1970s. The makers and/or their family members comment: lovingly, revealing or painfully. This documentary presents a picture of Israel that not everyone knows. A Moroccan Jewish wedding in the cave of Machpelah just after the Six Day War, a minaret at a mosque being overturned (with the excuse that the holy part of the mosque is the building, not the tower). And then there are the war situations, of which poignant, sometimes shocking images are shown.
