In the Dark Room plot

Magdalena Kopp was married to the most wanted terrorist in the world: Carlos the Jackal. When she moves from the small Bavarian village where she was born to Frankfurt in the 1960s, she becomes involved with the radical left groups in Frankfurt. This is how she comes into contact with Venezuelan Carlos the Jackal, the 'professional revolutionary' who was fast becoming the world's first terrorist celebrity. She trained with Palestinian freedom fighters and fought side by side with their national heroes. She followed Carlos around the world in his dangerous work, from Damascus to Baghdad and Paris, and the two had a daughter: Rosa. When Magdalena realizes that political ideals have given way to lust for power, she is already too involved.
