Is everyone in India happy with the democratic system? Over the past two decades, India has experienced a financial growth that created a larger middle class in the country's caste system. Yet India with its 1.1 billion inhabitants still has extreme poverty. Is the democratic system only an effective system for the upper and middle classes, or does the lower segment of the population also benefit from this? This documentary seeks to answer these questions by following in Gandhi's footsteps during his Dandi Salt March. Is his ideology on equality and democracy still present in the villages along the route?
