In Loco Parentis plot
"Leaving is the hardest lesson to learn..."
A year in the life of two passionate teachers (one music, Latin and mathematics and the other literature) at Ireland's only boarding school for children aged seven to twelve. Headfort School, located in a monumental building in an idyllic spot, is their life. John and Amanda Leyden met at school in their twenties, got married and spent the rest of their lives on the school grounds, wherever they live. The current headmaster, himself a progressive, passionate teacher, was even taught by John. The couple doesn't stop at school just teaching: they are mentors, inspirations and deputy parents for the children and they work long hours.
