In Darkest Hollywood: Cinema and Apartheid plot

"Exploring the jungle of cinema's South Africa"

This documentary provides an analysis of the effects apartheid had on cinema and vice-versa. The documentary is divided on the one hand into discussions, archival footage of South Africa during apartheid, and some exemplary examples of films that were strongly influenced by apartheid. Some fragments of films that pass by are: 'Cry Freedom', 'The Gods Must Be Crazy', 'Come Back Africa', and the film 'African Jim', shot entirely with black South African actors.
