In Afwachting Van plot

Directors Maarten Schmidt and Thomas Doebele were given access to the Tilburg Penitentiary Institution, where about three thousand illegal immigrants come every year in anticipation of their possible deportation. The film makers recorded the hopeless life in prison and the incongruity of the Dutch immigration policy. All illegal immigrants talk candidly in front of the camera, also during the conversations with the return officer.
