In a Whisper plot
Childhood friends Patricia and Heidi grew up in Cuba, where they both studied at the film academy. As children of the 1970s, they were brought up with the communist ideals of Che Guevara, but the promised bright future is not forthcoming. Separately, they flee their homeland, away from malaise and censorship. Heidi ends up in Switzerland, Patricia in Spain. Contact has been broken for years. When, now forty years old, they cautiously approach again, this is done in the way that suits them best: via video letters. Both continued to film their lives, even when it seemed that they would never work in the film world again.
