Impunity plot
"What kind of war for Colombia?"
Paramilitary units have left a trail of death and destruction in Colombia. A specially established Peace and Justice Commission began collecting evidence against the paramilitia in 2005. In emotional hearings, their actions are explained in the most horrifying detail. The chance of trial is small, as it turns out, because many leading figures escape the dance. Political scientists analyze the double agenda pursued by the paramilitia: The aim was not only to fight the guerrillas, but also the expropriation of small farmers on behalf of large companies. It turns out that the government also played a dubious role in this.
